About Gloryview Church In Parks

We are a gathering of sinners saved by grace and bound by love. We meet at Gloryview Ranch and have a cowboy church atmosphere. Gloryview Ranch is a functioning Quarter Horse ranch that also provides retreats designed to strengthen the home through thriving marriage and families. We meet at 9:30 AM every Sunday. During the winter we meet in the Ponderosa building. All summer we enjoy meeting outside on the bleachers next to the horse arena. The Sunday service is filled with great fellowship, singing, and preaching from the Word of God.

Statement of Beliefs

We believe the Bible is the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. Its writings are factually true. It is the supreme authority in all matters about which it speaks. The final guide to the interpretation of Scripture is Scripture itself. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Mark 13:31; John 8:31-32; 20:31; Acts 20:32)

We believe that the Triune God, existing as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, sent his Son into this world to die as an atonement for the sins of mankind. It is through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, that mankind, by faith alone, can receive eternal salvation. (Genesis 1:1, 26; John 1:1-3; 4:24; Matthew 28:19; Romans 1:9, 20; Ephesians 4:5-6)

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and in His personal, literal, and visible return to earth. (Matthew 1:18-25; 20:28; Luke 1:26-38; John 1:1; 20:28-31; Romans 9:5; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 1:4; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 7:25; 9:28)

We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; and to sanctify and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ, and that He is our abiding helper, teacher, and guide. (John 4:16-17, 26; 15:26-27; 16:9-14; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 3:6; 6:19; Galatians 5:22-26)

Core Values

We believe the accounts of God’s Word from Genesis to Revelation, line upon line, precept upon precept.

We believe the spiritual death of mankind, along with both human and animal physical death, disease, suffering, and other evils entered into this world subsequent to mankind’s sin and God’s response to sin.

We believe God invites all people to be redeemed by the blood of Jesus regardless of past or current mistakes. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone.

We believe God created humans in His image, intentionally and unchangeably male and female, each bringing unique and complementary qualities to sexuality and relationships.

We believe the institution of marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to model the love of Christ for His people and to serve as the basic building block of human civilization. Marriage is intended by God to be a thriving, lifelong relationship between a man and a woman enduring through trials. Therefore, Christians are called to affirm and proclaim God’s marriage design and to minister in Christ’s name to those who suffer the consequences of its brokenness.
