What The Bible Says
Acts 2:45 tells us the early church was selling personal possessions to meet the needs of the church. This is not an instruction to have the church own all things and distribute goods equally among all. This is a teaching to be willing to sacrificially give to the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Gloryview Church is committed to being a resource to one another with our time, energy, talents, and money. We seek to carry one another’s burdens as is appropriate.
We believe we own nothing in this life. We are stewards of What God entrusts to our care. Jesus instructed us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). This is to be done by giving to God of our first and best in time, energy, talents, and money. God doesn’t get our leftovers.
